Analogue Artefacts gathers work made in London on large format transparency film. Each image was built in the camera from multiple exposures on a single sheet. All masking and layering was done in camera. The finished transparency looked like one moment. It was a composite that no eye had ever seen at once.
The work began as a technical exercise, a test of how much a single sheet of film could hold. It sits at the start of the archive. The later series take the photographic image apart with software. These images were put together by hand, one exposure at a time, on the film itself.
